Our January Dollar Days was a huge success! So many customers went away with some great deals! We hope to see everyone at our next Dollar Days in April!

Isn’t this picture just beautiful? And the buffet is nice too! At over 6 feet long, this buffet would definitely be a statement piece in any room. It’s located in booth #1 for $499 and it’s painted with Maison Blanche Crème De Menthe Paint.

How long have you been at DeFrance?

A year maybe

How did you get into this?

I started making wood signs, chalkboards and magnet boards about 8 years ago.  I’ve always been crafty, but realized I wanted to set up my own “shop” somewhere.

What do you like most about having a booth?

I like decorating for the seasons.

What do you gravitate towards? What draws your eye?

I love shabby, rustic décor.  Chippy turquoise paint is my fav!

What’s your dream find/sale?

Old wood. Well, new wood too!  I love the smell of cypress and juniper.

What’s your greatest find/story?

My cousin and I found some awesome old wood pieces on the longest yard sale a couple years back.  Old trim, doors, and random pieces.  We cleaned out a barn and thought we’d hit the jackpot!

What’s your favorite fudge flavor at DeFrance?

Peanut butter

Do you have any advice for people thinking about getting a booth?

Make sure you have several hours a week to devote to it.  Picking up small pieces from yard sales helps to make it full.

These large handmade bows are perfect for Christmas presents. Porsha tried making one herself but it was a lopsided failure… instead she’s been buying these from vendor #36 for $5 each.
